Asorphi Academy Higher Secondary School Sports Club

(Constituted under MPOWER – PACE: Play, Arts, Culture & Environment)

The Asorphi Academy Higher Secondary School Sports Club is constituted under the MPOWER – PACE (Play, Arts, Culture & Environment) initiative of the Government of Meghalaya to promote physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, discipline, and sportsmanship among students. The Club provides a platform for students to actively participate in sports and recreational activities, fostering holistic development and a healthy lifestyle.

The Club shall be coordinated by:-

Student Vice-Captain:             Miss. Iairisha Dkhar

Roles and Responsibilities

The Sports Club shall:

• Conduct regular sports and recreational activities for students.
• Promote active participation in sports and related activities.
• Ensure inclusive and equal participation of both boys and girls.
• Maintain discipline, safety, and proper conduct during all Club activities.
• Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and safe custody of sports equipment provided under MPOWER.
• Maintain attendance registers and records of all Club activities.
• Submit periodic reports to the School Administration.

The Teacher Coordinator shall supervise the overall functioning of the Sports Club, provide guidance to student leaders, and ensure the effective implementation of all activities in accordance with the objectives and guidelines of the MPOWER – PACE programme.
