The Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) is a platform established under the initiative of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to promote electoral awareness and democratic values among students. The club aims to educate young citizens about the importance of voting, the electoral process, and their rights and responsibilities in a democracy.
Through activities such as awareness campaigns, debates, quizzes, poster competitions, mock elections, seminars, and voter education programmes, the ELC encourages students to become informed, ethical, and responsible future voters. The club also promotes the principles of free, fair, inclusive, and participative elections, while creating awareness about voter registration and combating electoral misinformation.
The Election Literacy Club plays a vital role in nurturing democratic values and inspiring students to actively participate in strengthening India’s democratic process.
Motto: “Every Vote Matters – Be an Informed and Responsible Voter.”
